Harlem Fashion Row

Last night I attended Harlem Fashion Row‘s Style Awards and Fashion Show. They celebrated 10 years in business. Yes, 10 years!!

Harlem Fashion Row was founded by Brandice Daniel with the vision of creating a runway show that highlighted African American Designers. It’s no secret that people of color are barely represented during Fashion Week, whether it’s models or actual designers.

Indique Hair sponsored the hair extensions for the models during the show. Stay tuned for their recap on Fluff Mag.

The Style Awards were amazing. They honored some of my favorites:

Claire Sulmers- Founder of Fashion Bomb Daily

Chioma Nnadi- Fashion News Director for Vogue Magazine

Andra Day- Singer

Spike Lee- SPIKE LEE!!!

It was incredible to meet Spike Lee in person. My little brother was named Mookie after the character in “Do the Right Thing”.

The designers were all talented. I’m now obsessed with Fe Noel, Kimberley Goldson, K RaShaé and Undra Celeste. Check out some of my pics below.
