Three of my favorite words, summer, party, & shops…yesterday my fiancé and I ventured over to the Shops Buckhead Atlanta for their summer block party.
I have to admit, ever since this luxurious row of shops appeared a few years ago, I dared not to visit because I knew the temptation would be way too high. Retailers like NARS, Moncler, Jimmy Choo, Alice & Olivia, and Warby Parker are nestled on a few blocks in the heart of Buckhead. So when I heard about the block party, I knew I had to take my voice of reason with me, my fiancé.
Over the past few months, I’ve been feverishly searching for the perfect shoes to go with my Winnie Couture wedding gown. I finally found them during Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale, but to my surprise, moments before we arrived to the Shops Buckhead, my order was refunded because my Jimmy Choo’s were out of stock! Luckily for me, Jimmy Choo was having a bridal soirée during the Summer block party.
We dashed over to Jimmy Choo as our first stop. Ladies, this was shoe heaven for me. As many of you know, I am a bargain shopper so I rarely step into high end stores. If it’s not at the Rack or in TJ Maxx, I don’t want it. Jimmy Choo was having a sale, yes a SALE, on a very similar style of shoe that I purchased. The kicker was that these pair of shoes we’re better than the ones I purchased online! They also gave me a blue duster as my “something blue” for my wedding day. Even my fiancé was excited!
After my excitement wore off from a great purchase, we walked through the square where they were giving out gorgeous bouquets of flowers, cotton candy, champagne, and edible cookie dough!
I also met Pippa, a gorgeous pug who was dressed for the occasion!
This block party was a great way to break my fear of visiting these high end retailers. The staff in each boutique were incredibly nice and some of the stores had cool companies nestled inside. For example, I met the owner of PURE MD, a skincare company, who gave out free full samples of her product. A full review to follow.
If you get a chance to head over to the Shops Buckhead Atlanta, be sure to make a full day out of it, the restaurants, such as Southern Gentleman, are really good!
